CENTRINITY COMPLETES FIRST PHASE OF IMPLEMENTATION OF UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS AT SWEETWATER UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT

Sweetwater Union High School District Chooses FirstClass Unified Communications Solution to Improve Communications and Responsiveness

Richmond Hill, ON, CANADA, September 4, 2001 - Centrinity Inc. (TSE: CTI), which develops and markets FirstClass Unified Communications and Collaborative Groupware, today announced it has completed the first phase of implementation of its FirstClass Unified Communications technology at Sweetwater Union High School District. The company completed the sale of 2,700 FirstClass Unified Communications licenses to the Chula Vista, California-based district last April.  The licenses include a three-year maintenance and support contract.

Sweetwater Union District High School is deploying Centrinity's Unified Communications solution to its administrative staff and more than 2,000 teachers throughout the school district.  Centrinity's Unified Communications solution is part of a complete refurbishment of Sweetwater's communications infrastructure, designed to improve communications and responsiveness both internally and with the community.

"We chose Centrinity's FirstClass Unified Communications solution for its ability to vastly improve our communications, especially between parents and teachers," said Dr. Ed Brand, superintendent of Sweetwater Union High School District. "FirstClass Unified Communications will allow our teachers and other staff to access their messages from whatever communications device they have on hand, whether it be their telephone, their computer or their cell phone.   Additionally, we expect the collaborative groupware functionality of the FirstClass solution to significantly enhance the ability of our teachers to collaborate by allowing them to share lesson plans and other information in a dynamic online environment."

"It is part of our strategy to leverage our reputation as a leading provider of world-class collaborative groupware solutions to the education market into sales of our Unified Communications solution," said Myles McGovern, president and chief executive officer of Centrinity.  "Sweetwater Union High School District is an excellent example of how our Unified Communications can enhance both an organization's internal and external communications and improve the responsiveness of its staff."

Sweetwater Union High School District serves approximately 33,000 students in grades 7 to 12 and 34,000 adult learners in the south San Diego county communities of Bonita, Chula Vista, EastLake, Imperial Beach, National City, Otay Mesa, San Ysidro/South San Diego. It is the largest secondary (grades 7 to 12) school system in California.
