CENTRINITY APPOINTS THREE NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS TO ITS BOARD

Ian D. McElroy, president and chief executive officer of Psion Teklogix Inc.; Françoise Bertrand, a partner of SECOR; Kipp A. Bedard, vice president of corporate affairs at Micron Technology, Inc.

RICHMOND HILL, ON, CANADA - January 22, 2002 - Centrinity Inc. (TSE: CTI) appointed three new non-executive directors to its Board during its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held in Toronto, Canada on January 16, 2002.  Collectively, the three outside directors bring a wide breadth of technology and telecommunications expertise to the Board. The Company also appointed three new executive directors to its Board.

Bedard to Centrinity's Board of Directors," said Yves Desjardins-Siciliano, Chairman of the Board, Centrinity.  "Each of these new non-executive directors, along with our re-elected members and new executive directors, will play an integral role in driving the Company's success. I look forward to working with them as we continue to focus on our growth plan for Fiscal 2002 and beyond."

Mr. McElroy is the president and chief executive officer of Psion Teklogix Inc., a subsidiary of Psion PLC.  He brings over 24 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications industry to Centrinity's Board.  Previously, Mr. McElroy was the president and chief executive officer of Teklogix International Inc., a TSE-listed company.  Before joining Teklogix, he held the position of president and chief executive officer of Bell Services, as well as other senior management positions within Bell Canada. Prior to joining Bell Canada, Mr. McElroy was president and chief executive officer of BCE Mobile.  In addition, he held various senior management positions within IBM including vice president of services for IBM Canada and director of corporate marketing for IBM Corporation in New York.  

Ms. Françoise Bertrand is SECOR's partner in charge of its communications, media and entertainment practice. She posseses more than 15 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications industry. Before joining SECOR, she was the Chairperson of the Canadian Radio-television and telecommunication (CRTC) commission, which oversees policy and regulation of Canada's broadcast and telecommunications industries. Prior to that, she was a principal director at KPMG responsible for the communications practice. Ms. Bertrand founded and chaired the International Regulatory Forum of the International Institute of Communications (IIC).

Mr. Bedard is vice president of corporate affairs at Micron Technology, Inc. where he is responsible for relaying company information to financial analysts and company shareholders, media relations, corporate communications, government affairs, product publicity, corporate contributions and development.  He is the president of the Micron Technology Foundation, Inc., which was formed to advance science and technology education and support civic and charitable institutions in the communities in which Micron has facilities. He joins the Board with over 15 years of technology and communications expertise. Prior to joining Micron, Mr. Bedard was with Deloitte & Touche.

Three of Centrinity's senior executives were also appointed to the Board. They include: Jane Mowat, executive vice president and chief financial officer; John Myers, executive vice president, strategic relations; and, Steven F. Asbury, vice president, engineering and the co-developer of the Company's FirstClass technology.

Mr. Desjardins-Siciliano, an independent consultant, was re-elected as chairman of the Board. Directors re-elected to Centrinity's Board included: Myles McGovern, president and chief executive officer of Centrinity; Rodney D. Dir, vice president of sales and operations, Voicestream Wireless Inc.; R. Bradley Hurtubise, executive managing director, BMO Nesbitt Burns; and, Albert Lin, partner and portfolio manager, Meerkat Management LLC.
