CENTRINITY ANNOUNCES LARGEST FIRSTCLASS UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS INSTALLATION FOR K-12 EDUCATION MARKET
Last quarter the Company recorded the sale of 5,000 FirstClass licenses to the Oklahoma City Board of Education

RICHMOND HILL, ON, CANADA, April 23, 2002 - Centrinity Inc. (TSE: CTI), the developers of the FirstClass Communications Platform, announced that the Oklahoma City School Board purchased 5,000 FirstClass Unified Communications licenses. The deal, which was closed and recorded as a sale in the second quarter of Fiscal 2002, marks the largest FirstClass Unified Communications installation for the K-12 education market for Centrinity.

The first phase of implementation is expected to be completed by the end of May. The Oklahoma City Board of Education plans to deploy FirstClass to 3,500 teachers and 1,500 administrators in its public school district. In addition, the Board plans to expand the FirstClass solution to more than 40,000 students district-wide.

Centrinity's FirstClass solution is part of a complete refurbishment of the Oklahoma City Board of Education's communications infrastructure designed to improve communications and responsiveness both internally and externally. Previously, the Board was using OneNet, a statewide education ASP for email.

"We were looking for a communications solution that would evolve with the needs of the faculty and students," said Steve Finch, chief technology officer, Oklahoma City Public Schools district. "We felt that FirstClass was a logical choice as it provides us with an all-in-one solution that is both cost-effective and easy to use. In addition, it has a proven track record for delivering high performance and reliable communications solutions to the education market. We are confident that FirstClass will help us to improve communications and enhance the classroom experience for our students."

"Centrinity is pleased that FirstClass has been selected by the Oklahoma City Board of Education," said John Myers, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Centrinity Inc. "Since the company's inception in 1989, we have made a number of significant inroads in the education market. FirstClass has proved to be a superior technology in terms of its performance, reliability, scalability and, most importantly, security."

The Oklahoma City Board of Education serves the second largest public school district in the state of Oklahoma and has more than 40,000 students spanning 184 miles in the greater Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
